Direct Travel
GBTA
The Opportunity
For Direct Travel, the opportunity was to elevate their presence as they expanded from a 30×40 to a 40×40 footprint. They wanted to retain the core elements that had become integral to their experience, including dedicated demo spaces, a double-deck structure with an upper-level meeting area, and a branded swag area, while introducing a more prominent LED presentation environment and new overhead elements. The primary goal was to create more opportunities for onsite demos and engage attendees through dynamic group presentations.
Our Approach
ProExhibits designed a cohesive environment that balanced technology, hospitality, and visual impact. A large curved LED presentation screen anchored the experience, while illuminated topo layers, acrylic accents, and dedicated demo areas created visual depth throughout the floor. A lighted spinning Direct Travel disc served as a highly visible beacon, drawing attention from across the show floor. With the exhibit taking place in Chicago, our team also took a highly proactive approach to production and installation, coordinating closely with our production team, dedicated supervisor, and local union labor to anticipate potential challenges and ensure a seamless build.
The Results
The expanded exhibit successfully created a more engaging and functional environment, while thoughtful refinements helped Direct Travel make the most of their larger footprint. The more private upper-level meeting room, achieved through taller branded walls, was particularly well received by leadership, while the new Meeting Check In station and numbered meeting spaces helped streamline onsite meeting bookings. With Direct Travel continuing to grow its presence, the partnership is already moving forward to an even larger 40×50 exhibit for GBTA 2027, positioned on the main aisle.
